This week we recognize Veterans Day and extend our sincere gratitude to all who have served in our nation’s military. Thank you for your willingness to sacrifice, your dedication to protecting our freedoms, and your service to our country. We are grateful for you!
This October, we held our first Open Door Baptist Missions fall fundraising dinner. I want to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this event possible. We praise the Lord for His provision through the evening, as more than $72,000 was raised! A portion of these funds will help provide tuition assistance in Yap through Paul & Sherry Zimmer’s new ministry project “Tuition for Coconuts.” Please continue to pray that the Lord will raise up and send more laborers into His harvest.
This evening, our Life Groups will meet. If you are not currently in a Life Group, you can sign up at morningside.org/life-groups. Our ministry assistant Noah Weaver will preach at our PM gathering this evening in the chapel. Our Rooted college class will have a bonfire at the Plumb home. Transportation will be provided.

Praise Service
Next Sunday, our holiday celebrations begin. The theme of our 7th annual Praise Service is God of Creation, because the One Who changes the seasons is also our Maker and deserves our praise. Join us as our choir and orchestra lead us in worship at 10 AM on November 15.
Pie & Praise
Our annual Pie & Praise service is Sunday evening, November 22. Our pastors and deacons will lead us in prayers of praise and thanksgiving, and we’ll end a little early to save time for some fellowship over delicious slices of pie. Learn more at morningside.org/news/2026/pie.
Business Meeting
December 6 is our members’ annual business meeting (9 AM, AUD). We will vote on next year’s budget, major projects, and deacon nominees. Join us for a town hall Nov. 22 as we prepare for the meeting (11:15 AM, AUD).
Christmas for Kids
“Night in Bethlehem” is a Christmas experience on Dec. 6 (10 AM-12 PM, ages 3+). Happy Birthday, Merry Christmas is our children's choir Christmas program (Dec. 12, 5 PM). And all kids and teens are invited to play or sing Christmas specials after the Dec. 20 worship service. Sign up for the recital at morningside.org/kids.
