It is a joy to be back at Morningside after a wonderful week serving alongside our teens and sponsors on our missions trip to Arizona. We are grateful for all the Lord did, and I appreciate your prayers on our behalf.
I am also thankful for Pastor Huffman as he opens God's Word for us this morning. This evening, the Academy of Arts Summer Drama Ministry Team, will presentNo Place to Flee, a powerful, free drama sharing true stories of Christians who remained faithful in the face of persecution. Children are welcome to attend, but the Kids Wing and nursery will also be open. You can learn more at morningside.org/news. We will receive a love offering following the presentation to support this ministry.

Awana Volunteers
God’s Word has all the answers that our kids really need. On September 2 our Awana workers will get ready to teach it to them. Will you help our kids learn the Bible at Awana this year? Sign up at morningside.org/kids.

Our 2027 deacon nomination form is now available. You can access the form online or get a hard copy at the Welcome Center. Please prayerfully consider nominating qualified members by today.
Women’s Morning Bible Study
MBC Ladies' Bible Study will meet this year on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 in Room 107. We start on Tuesday; September 8 and will have our salad luncheon. We will be studying the book of John and books will be on sale in the lobby before the morning service beginning on Sunday, August 16th. The cost will be $10. We look forward to a great study again this year!
Life Group Leader Training
On August 9, our life group leaders gather for fellowship and training. We’re praying for several more host homes to volunteer this summer. Host a group in your home once a month and get the blessing of showing hospitality. Sign up today at morningside.org/life-groups.
Good News Club
Good News Club will meet Tuesday afternoons at Pelham Road Elementary School starting in September. To learn more about serving at GNC, join us August 2 (12 PM, AUD) for a brief interest meeting. The leader training will be on August 25 (2 PM, 106).
Primary Room
We are looking for volunteers to serve in our Primary Room (K5–1st grade) at 11:15 AM. Volunteers serve on a rotating schedule, typically just once a month, assisting the lead teacher. To sign up email Pastor Ontoy at jontoy@morningside.org.
Bus Drivers
We need volunteer bus drivers. No experience required: we can help pay for training and certification.
