This morning, I am thankful to be back in person with our church family. We will resume our study of the book of James and our series “Real Faith Works”. This evening, our life group hosts gather for fellowship and training. We’re praying for several more host homes to volunteer. Host a group in your home once a month and get the blessing of showing hospitality. Sign up to host or participate at morningside.org/life-groups. Pastor Miller will be preaching at our PM gathering in the chapel.
On Wednesday, we will have our ministry intern Nathan Jordan give our prayer challenge. Next week we will celebrate communion together in our worship service. I also want to congratulate Pastor Ontoy and his wife, Carmel, on the birth of their son Judah Ray.

Women’s Morning Bible Study
MBC Ladies' Bible Study will meet this year on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 9:30 AM in Room 107. We start on Tuesday; September 8 and will have our salad luncheon. We will be studying the book of John. Books will be on sale in the lobby before the morning service beginning on Sunday, August 16th. The cost will be $10. We look forward to a great study this year!
Wounded Spirits
Our Wounded Spirits Ministries chapter launches Wednesday, Sept. 2(7 PM, A2). Learn more at morningside.org/missions-blog.
Baptism
A few weeks ago, we celebrated as a family followed the Lord in baptism. If you haven't been baptized to show your faith in Jesus, request an interview at morningside.org/baptism.
Bridal Shower
Our bridal shower for Maddy Klass is August 22 (10 AM-12 PM, East Wing). Maddy Klass and Colin Chasmar are registered at Target.
Children’s Choir
Sunday morning children's choir rehearsals start August 16th (9:00 to 9:45 AM, Kids Wing Elementary Room, K5-Grade 5). We will sing regularly in the morning services and participate in our Christmas programs! For more information contact Elain Goslar
