Next Sunday, I am looking forward to Civil Leaders Sunday, when we will have the opportunity to honor those who serve as leaders in our nation, state, counties, and cities. We are privileged to welcome several of our civil leaders to Morningside and to be a testimony and encouragement to them. Dr. Steve Pettit will be our guest speaker. We also have several exciting opportunities to serve as we prepare for the Christmas season. Our Christmas Program will be held December 13 at 10:00 AM in the Auditorium. Christmas will be here before we know it! The Oct. 2–3 Choir & Orchestra Camp is a wonderful opportunity to join the choir, enjoy fellowship, and begin preparing the music for our Christmas program. There will be fun games and prizes along with several rehearsal times to learn the music. We are also looking for orchestra players. We would love to have you join us! Good News Club
GNC is in need of snacks for their Bible Club at Pelham Road Elementary school. We are collecting nut free snacks such as: granola bars, crackers, Little Bites muffins, Ritz Bits, cereal/breakfast bars, mild meat sticks, and ingredients for snack mix (popcorn, mini pretzels, Goldfish, M&M’s, Chex, Cheerios).Donations can be placed in the basket at the Welcome Center in the lobby.
