MISSIONS
Morningside’s missions purpose is to glorify God by advancing the Gospel, making disciples and planting churches across America and around the globe.
Many of our missionaries live in nations where traditional missionary work is restricted. Those restrictions aren’t stopping them from planting churches. When you give to our missions fund, you’re helping families send gospel light to dark places.
Since so much of our mission work is in restricted areas, we don’t post a list of missionaries. Our members get regular missions updates, and we post several at our churchwide prayer meeting each Wednesday. A full list of our missionary families and ministries is available at the Welcome Center.
Morningside seeks to accomplish the Great Commission by sending and supporting missionaries in our church missions program as well as serving missionaries through our own full service mission agency - Open Door Baptist Missions. The purpose of Open Door Baptist Missions is to promote the work of Christ in regions that have been closed to the Gospel or that presently have little or no Gospel witness. Browse below to learn how you can help reach the Unreached at home and abroad for the glory of God.
“My favorite thing about Morningside is the emphasis on missions and our partnership with Living Hope Reno.”

We strive to accomplish this task while the Lord has set before us an open door (Revelation 3:8). This is done through the collective support of local churches.
We stand ready to help Bible-believing churches place their missionary candidates on the field of God’s call. It is our desire to give the Gospel to those who have never heard. We endeavor to partner with those who are already laboring in the harvest fields and to help train those who will be the leaders of tomorrow.
