The Morningside Baptist Church children's ministry seeks to glorify God by equipping and assisting parents to fulfill the God-given mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ. We strive to love each child from our youngest infants to our older elementary kids. Our goal is to guide children through Biblical, Gospel-centered teaching that is age-appropriate and engaging so that they may come to know Christ personally and grow to love God, love others, and love our world.
The Morningside Nursery exists to serve our body by showing Jesus’ love to children at the earliest phase of their lives. We work hard to maintain a clean, safe, and fun environment for children. Our goal in the nursery is much more than mere babysitting. (Open for all services)
Sunday School is an intentional, age-appropriate teaching time in a small group setting with caring adults who display Christ’s love. Children, who are a vital part of our body, learn the great stories of the Bible with a primary focus on God’s plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. We also emphasize practical applications of truth during this time. Faith in Christ is the primary goal at this phase of children’s lives. (K3 - 5th grade, Sundays @ 9:15)
Children’s Church for preschoolers is focused on teaching simple, yet significant truths about God and the gospel in an engaging, hands-on, age-appropriate way. Teaching is balanced with snacks and play time. Our short Bible lessons combined with a video component help preschoolers retain God’s Word in their hearts and minds. We strive to maintain a clean and safe environment which includes a predictable routine that keeps preschoolers moving and interested. (K3 - K5, Sundays @ 10:30)
Our 1st through 3rd grade Junior Church emphasizes gospel-centered teaching with opportunities for children to explore the Bible, navigate missions, discover God’s plan, and love others through acts of mercy.
We continue our time with acts of true worship through singing and giving to God.
Our lesson time is focused on intentional, gospel-centered teaching that is Biblically thematic and true, providing children with a big picture focus on God’s plan of redemption. (1st - 5th grade, Sundays @ 10:30 during the school year)
kids on Mission
Kids on Mission exists to partner with parents in discipling their children. On a weekly basis, in both small and large group times, we lead children on a mission to understand Bible truths through Scripture memory which we pray will enter not just their heads, but their hearts as well. Children are also guided through global missions with a yearly continent focus, while giving to a needy children’s ministry in that part of the world. Since this is a children’s ministry, fun is also incorporated through games, special dress up nights, theme snacks, and store. (Wednesdays @ 6:45 pm)

Thank you for joining us for The Incredible Race, June 9-13, 2019!
We raced from continent to continent uncovering clues and attempting challenges as we filled our score cards.
We also discovered that, no matter where we live, what shade of skin we have, or what language we speak, we are all part of the same race—the human race—and all part of the same family from Adam and Eve.
As we examined the events surrounding the tower of Babel, kids learned that God is calling people from every tribe and nation through his Son, Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. And that he wants us to share this good news in kindness and love with our neighbors nearby and far away.
Join us again next year, June 7-10, 2020, as we travel to Mystery Island where we will be uncovering clues while tracking down the One True God!
