When do they meet?
Life groups will meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month as an alternative to our Sunday PM gathering. We will still offer a Sunday evening service at church, but Life Groups offer an alternative for those who want to build deeper connections in Christian community.
Why do we do life groups?
When we look at the priorities of the early church (Acts 2:42) we see that they devoted themselves to: Doctrine (Sun AM, SS), Prayer (Wed PM), Breaking of bread (Communion), and Fellowship. They were meeting “from house to house,” and they received their food with glad and generous hearts (v. 42)
When Paul lists the marks of a true Christian in Romans 12, he says we should be “given to hospitality” (v. 13). Hebrews 13:2 reminds believers, “Do not neglect to show hospitality.” Peter tells even persecuted believers, “Show hospitality to one another without grumbling” (1 Peter 4:9).
We believe Life Groups will help us build authentic, inter-generational, discipleship-oriented friendships. Life Groups help us interact with a broad cross-section of our large church family in less formal settings. We invite you to experience and invest in the true fellowship Christ purchased for you!
