As announced May 7, the Board of Trustees at Bob Jones University has appointed our pastor to serve as their 6th president.

Our hearts are heavy knowing that Pastor Crockett will no longer be able to serve us the same way, but we are thrilled for his opportunity.
Our deacons have already begun meeting to determine what this transition means for us. Pastor Crockett and deacon chair Rod McCarty addressed our congregation during prayer meeting on Wednesday, May 8. Pastor Crockett will address us again during our worship service on May 12, and Rod McCarty will address us again on May 19. After our PM meeting on May 19 we will hold a cake reception for Pastor Crockett and his family.
Our constitution outlines how pastoral transitions take place. The deacons and pastoral staff will share more information with our members after the meeting. Our website team will also share more information here once it’s available for the public.
We appreciate your prayers for our deacons and staff as they prepare our church family for this transition. Pastor Crockett, his wife Karie, and his four children would certainly appreciate your prayers too.
