MINISTRIES ON CAMPUS

Learn about ministries you can get involved in at Morningside.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

Our Children's Ministry provides a nurturing and engaging environment where children from infancy through elementary school can grow in their knowledge of God on Sundays and Wednesdays. Through AWANA, children have the opportunity to memorize Bible verses, enjoy fun games, and learn from engaging lessons each week. Additionally, VBS is a highlight of the year, offering an exciting experience where children can explore biblical themes through stories, games, crafts, and drama. Together, these programs aim to foster a lifelong love for Jesus and a strong foundation in God's Word.

MUSIC MINISTRY

The music ministry at Morningside places a strong emphasis on congregational singing, with songs carefully selected to glorify God and edify believers. The choir, which performs during Sunday morning services and supports congregational singing, rehearses weekly and welcomes members, prospective members, and temporary residents. Additionally, the orchestra, composed of strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion, seeks to honor God and uplift the congregation through their musical talents.

MEDIA MINISTRY

We’re thankful for many large rooms on our campus and many faithful viewers of our broadcasts. Our media team is a critical part of helping us communicate with each other several times each week through speaking, preaching, praying, and singing. Each of our teams have monthly rotations and are happy to train new volunteers.

CONNECT TEAM

Join our Connect Team to be a welcoming first point of contact for guests at Morningside and the friendly face for those who join us week after week. Through our four teams (greeters, hosts, guest services, and transit), you can be a part of helping guests make meaningful connections and friendships. Serve with us — your hospitality can help create a warm and inviting atmosphere for all who come through our doors!

SAFETY TEAM

Keeping our church safe is a priority at Morningside. Morningside has gifted men and women who not only work or have experience in the area of safety but also have dedicated themselves to keeping our people protected during each service.

Morningside has trained safety and medical teams who are on call at a moment’s notice and can help in any way possible. If you have expertise in either of these fields and are interested in serving, please contact us.

MINISTRY RECRUITMENT

The ministry fair is an opportunity at the beginning of the school year to be exposed to some of the various ministries at Morningside. It meets in the mall lobby and is like a job fair for church ministries. If you want to be involved in ministry, this is a good place to start, but you do not have to wait to get involved in ministry. For more information or to get involved, please contact Pastor Tom Stuhl, or Pastor Todd Jones, or call 864.297.7890.

DINNER FOR EIGHT

Join us for Dinner for Eight as we make good friends and eat delicious food. This is a wonderful way for all married couples, single ladies and men, and widows and widowers to get to know people in our church whom you may never otherwise meet. Each group has 8 people, or 6 in some cases, and each of the pairs will host a dinner in their home one time in the four-month period. The host will prepare the main dish, and the others will bring the side dishes. The food is always good, and the fellowship is fantastic. To get involved contact Pastor Huffman.
