Loving Hospitality

Loving Hospitality (1 Pet. 4:8-9)

  1. What did the Holy Spirit teach you from this passage?

  2. How can you love people—even when it’s uncomfortable, even when it hurts?

  3. Do you overlook faults & offenses? Why is it easier to look for offenses and carry a magnifying glass

  4. Why should your agape love stretch to forgive offenses against you (Eph. 3:18-19; Matt. 18:21-35)?

  5. What did you think about Pastor Crockett's statement below?

To cover someone’s sin means you talk to them, not about them. You nurture the evidences of God’s grace in them. You love them. You come with hope. "I’m your friend. I care about you. I’m not talking to other people. I’m not seeking to destroy you. I don’t think I’m better than you. There’s no malice in my heart. I don’t want to be your critic, I want to be your counselor & comforter who walks with you. Could I serve you? When you see sin in my life could you serve me by confronting me? Could we keep each other accountable?”

  6. How can you show hospitality when you don't own a home?

  7. Do you open your life, schedule, wallet, and fridge to others?

  8. How does loving each other like family prepare for Christ's return?

  9. What do you think our family fellowship will be like in Heaven?
