Endurance in Suffering

This week we’ve seen the suffering of a world broken under the Curse of sin.

 ·      The funeral of a famous Christian apologist who died of cancer.

·      A nation increasingly divided over not just Covid-19.

·      And even more divided, over the horrible death of a man begging for his life, and now the horrific rioting & violence across our nation.

So this morning we lament & pray for justice for George Floyd whose life was taken senselessly; but we also lament & pray for justice for 20 police officers who already this year have been murdered senselessly.

We pray for peace, for reconciliation. And who can do that? Who alone can reconcile us to God and each other? Jesus.

And one day He will. One day He will bring justice & peace.

One day He will make all things right.
