Dead and Glad (Easter 2020)

Message: “Dead & Glad” (John 11)

Jn. 11:14-15 “Then said Jesus plainly unto them, ‘Lazarus is dead & I am glad…’”

Why was Jesus glad?

#1 Because death is just sleep for the believer (11-12)

Why is sleep something to be glad about?

A. Because it's harmless

B. Because it's temporary

#2 Because death is a chance to call others to believe (15-26)

A. We try to limit the Lord.

B. We try to make His promises impersonal.
