Replace Worry with Worship

Because this room is almost empty, so you don’t have to embarrass yourself in front of the church, I’m going to ask you to raise your hand, if you would answer “yes” to the following questions:

• Have you felt any worry in the last several days?

• Have you felt any worry about your finances? About the future of your work?

• Have you felt any worry about providing for your family? Maybe worry of not having a sufficient income? Maybe worry of not having enough food in the pantry? Maybe worry of not having enough toilet paper?

• Have you felt any worry about protecting your family?

• Have you felt any worry of contracting COVID-19? Or someone you know getting it?

Many Morningsiders have shared their concerns. They’ve lost work or lost their jobs. You have loved ones who are doctors & nurses.

They’re not 6 feet away from people. They’re 6 inches away from sick people.

And we don’t know what’s coming next. When you hear words like Recession or Depression, the cold hand of worry can begin to grip your heart.

It’s easy to worry about the future. Instead you should worship the Father.
