Young Adult Leadership summit

Join us at Morningside on Saturday, March 2nd at 8:30am for an exciting morning of learning how leadership and service apply to our lives and the church. We will also enjoy fellowship with other young adults and get meet the pastoral staff.

Anyone from any of our young adult groups at Morningside is welcome to attend. Please register by Wednesday, February 28th. Breakfast and conference materials will be provided.

Leadership Summit Schedule

8:30am – Light breakfast from Chick-fil-A

9:00am – Session 1: Focusing Your Thinking

  • A Framework for Leading - Rod McCarty

  • Leading Questions - Kimberly Young

10:00am – Session 2: Listening to Leaders

  • Examining How a Local Church Helps Fulfill the Longing and Need to Lead - Pastors Jeff Webb and Steven Huffman, and Children’s Director, Lara Cropsey

11:00am – Session 3: Modeling Leading

  • Leading Like a King - Pastor Josh Crockett

*Between each session, you will have the opportunity to connect with and get to know the pastoral staff at Morningside.

Speakers

Rod McCarty

Rod McCarty is the leader of the Pursue Young Professionals small group at Morningside. Rod and his wife Shelley have attended Morningside for nearly 25 years and have four children. He works as a stage and production manager and enjoys helping with building projects at Morningside.


Kimberly Young

Kimberly Young has been married to Kelly for 17 years with two teen girls. She is an accounting professor at Greenville Technical College, and has been attending Morningside for more than seven years. She enjoys serving in the children's ministry, greeting, and having the opportunity to organize the Fall Carnival at Morningside.


Pastor Josh Crockett

Pastor Josh has served as the Senior Pastor of Morningside since 2015.

Josh has a passion for practical, dynamic expository preaching and making disciples. He has the privilege of speaking at churches, colleges, camps, and conferences across the country. He serves as chairman of Open Door Baptist Missions and as a member of several boards. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, basketball, pickleball, disc golf, and hiking with his family.
