Love Works - Seneca Disaster Relief

Early Monday morning on April 13, 2020, an EF-3 tornado that was as big as a 1/2 mile wide and on the ground almost 17 miles touched down in Seneca, SC. The destruction was devastating. Morningside partnered with University Baptist Church in Clemson, SC to provide relief.

Pastor Jon Ledbetter gives an update on our gift:

“We were able to use your gift to help a lady in Seneca who lost her home and car. We were able to contribute toward a down payment for [a] house she hopes to buy soon. We were able to share Christ with her and have continued to minister to her. We also bought grocery gift cards and distributed them to needy areas. Because of additional funds that came in, we were able to buy some additional ones today [6/8/20] and will be distributing them later this week. Attached is a photo of the packet we were able to give out. Many good conversations have come while we have shared these gifts. We have even received several notes of thanks to the church for the kindness shown. Thank you again for partnering with us as we seek to share the love of Christ.”
