Disaster Relief - Bahamas
Morningside is partnering with Arch Ministries to provide disaster relief to the Bahamas. You can give online through Morningside’s PushPay and select Disaster Relief.
Pastor Tim Potter explains more about the project in the letter below:
Dear Arch Friends,
Once again we have the opportunity to aid churches with hurricane relief—this time in the Bahamian islands. We have Arch Ministries partners there who have requested that we work with them for relief and for the spread of the gospel through their local churches.
Our on-the-ground Arch partner in the Bahamian islands would be evangelist Kwame Selver who lives in Nassau, Bahamas. Since Brother Selver’s island was not directly affected, he is able to best assist us in getting goods and materials to our Arch friends in Freeport, Grand Bahama, where a great deal of the destruction occurred.
The church we have currently identified for help is Tabernacle Baptist Church in Grand Bahama, one of the two Bahamian islands most devastated. We know there is relief being provided for churches on Abaco Island—the other island hardest hit—so that’s why we are focusing on this church and their community in Grand Bahama island.
All funds donated will be used to purchase goods and materials necessary to help the believers at Tabernacle Baptist Church and their friends in the area who need food, water, shelter, and the Lord Jesus.
Arch Ministries will also be sending down a small team trained in disaster relief to help organize and distribute the gospel and the goods the Arch family provides. Thank you for your help; we will endeavor to keep you updated as to how aid is provided and distributed as we partner together.
For Christ,
Pastor Tim Potter
