Jeriel was raised in a Christian home in Texas where he believed the gospel and developed a love for church music. He served in his local church by accompanying congregational singing, conducting choirs, and organizing music rehearsals. In college, he led our Rooted college music ministry and traveled throughout the Southeast with a men’s musical ministry team.

In 2020, Jeriel joined our staff as part-time choir director. After earning an MA in Biblical Studies, Jeriel joined our full-time staff as the associate pastor in May of 2022. Since then, he’s earned an MDiv with a concentration in Worship.

Jeriel serves in our music & administration ministries. He also currently serves as our interim pastor over children and ODBM events. He has a passion for joyfully serving the Lord with an emphasis on biblical worship and engaging expository preaching.

Jeriel is married to to his best friend Carmel. They enjoy hiking, eating good Tex-Mex food, and completing escape rooms in their free time.
