Pastor Josh Crockett was called to shepherd at his home church in 2004. In 2015, the Lord directed the Crockett family to Morningside.

Josh graduated with an undergraduate degree in communication and business in 2001. The next year he and his wife, Karie, were married in her hometown of Raleigh, NC. Pastor Crockett earned a master's degree in counseling, a Master of Divinity, and a Doctorate of Ministry.

"God has richly poured out His grace in my life. He saved me at an early age, filled my life with godly mentors, allowed me to marry the love of my life, and has blessed us with two daughters and two sons."

Josh has a passion for practical, dynamic expository preaching and making disciples. He has the privilege of speaking at churches, colleges, camps, and conferences across the country. He serves as chairman of Open Door Baptist Missions and as a member of several boards. In his free time, he enjoys playing soccer, basketball, pickleball, disc golf, and hiking with his family.
