In Loving Memory of Emma Lou Corcoran Davis
March 14, 1933 – December 30, 2025
Emma Lou, 92, born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was called home to be with the Lord at her residence at The Gardens at Eastside. She lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible. Emma Lou was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life. The verse Matthew 25:21 comes to mind: “Well done, good and faithful servant…”
She will be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes and beautiful smile and her love for her Savior Jesus Christ. She was a witness for Jesus to everyone she met. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7) exemplifies her life.
Emma Lou is survived by three daughters, Cathy Bartschy (Dave), Linda Davis (Billy), and Vicki Hughey (David); eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Ethel Castilaw (Billy); and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce A. Davis; her son Glen A. Davis (father of Jordan Davis); and two sisters, Mae Corcoran Phillips (James) and Hazel Corcoran Clark (Gordon).
